It is a time of turning inward, clearing the slate of the previous cycle, and consciously choosing what you are calling in. What you plant here has the entire lunar cycle to grow.
Prepare Your Space

Before you call anything in, honor what you are leaving behind. The new moon asks you to release the energy of the last cycle — what didn't serve you, what you are ready to let go of, what you choose not to carry forward.
Open the Portal
Set your physical space with intention. Light a candle, burn sacred herbs, hold a crystal, or simply sit in stillness. Let your body know that what happens in this space is sacred. You are opening a portal, not just filling out a journal.

This is the most powerful time for letting go. What you release at the full moon creates space for what is coming. Do not skip this step. The clearing is as sacred as the calling in.
